MBHS collects, conserves, and exhibits artifacts while displaying, interpreting, and publishing memorabilia related to the history of the Morongo Basin. One of our friendly docents is available to talk about all things Morongo Basin. Come learn about where you live! For our tourists - Learn the rich history of the Morongo Basin. MBHS is a rural gem within a 15-minute drive from downtown Joshua Tree. MBHS also identifies and helps preserve historic sites, promotes the research and study of local history and also shares the rich heritage of the Morongo Basin with all of the communities within it and the surrounding areas.
