Improving the health and wellness of the communities we serve The Hi-Desert Memorial Health Care District Foundation dba Morongo Basin Healthcare District Foundation, supports the healthcare District's mission to improve the health and wellness of the communities of the Morongo Basin. In fulfilling that mission, the Foundation seeks to improve access to healthcare for Morongo Basin residents and has identified several opportunities to partner with government, agencies, service organizations and individual citizens. We invite you to participate with us as we work towards the improved health and wellness of our communities, whether by participating with us on projects of interest, or by making a personal donation to the Foundation, there is opportunity to make a difference in the well-being of our communities. Working with other organizations and agencies in the Morongo Basin, the Foundation is championing improved access to healthcare for our residents. The Foundation has partnered with community organizations to assist seniors after they are discharged from the hospital, thereby helping to reduce 30-day readmissions to the hospital. The Rose Garden is a tranquil place providing hospital patients and visitors an oasis of reflection. The community has memorialized their loved ones through gifts of remembrance. The Foundation has partnered with the healthcare District to promote cancer prevention through improved access to cancer screening in our Basin, community education and more.
