Cheryl Nankervis
Executive Director

Cheryl has been a resident of Yucca Valley since January 1986. She and Craig, her husband of 38 years, moved here to be close to family. They have two children, two grandsons and their new addition, Gladus (a very lucky puppy).

Cheryl began working at the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce answering telephones on a part-time basis on June 21, 1993. Beginning in August of 1993 she became a full-time employee with various titles including Administrative Assistant, Administrator and Acting Director. She was named the Executive Director in August 1997.

Helene White
Executive Assistant

Helene has been a resident of Yucca Valley since August 1990. She came to Yucca Valley knowing she found a better and safer environment for herself and her two children.

In her spare time, Helene is a volunteer Ham Radio Operator and a member of ECS (Emergency Communitation Services) for the San Bernardino County and the Office of Emergency Services. Helene keeps herself active within the community, and with her family, especially her granddaughter!

In May of 2007, Helene took on the challenges and additional community opportunities offered by working with the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Jennifer Collins Past-President

Jennifer was born & raised in Chino, California and moved to Yucca Valley in 2003 with her husband Kris and two children, Ashley and Garrett .
Her grandparents homesteaded property in the late 1940’s in Pioneertown and so Jennifer visited Yucca Valley often. The majority of her extended family lives here as well.
Jennifer has been an insurance agent for several years but recently started her own Farmers Insurance Agency. She became a Board of Directors Member in 2005 and is the current President for the YV Chamber.
“I love living in Yucca Valley! I will raise my kids here and want to be a part of our growing community. I believe that as a business owner and a resident of Yucca Valley, that I need to volunteer and do my part to help our community prosper.”

Mike "Grumpy" Kelliher

Grumpy was born in the NE. Grumpy and his wife Peggy have lived in Yucca Valley for 19 years. After they married, Grumpy and Peggy spent 14 years traveling the US and Canada. With the opportunity to live anywhere they wanted, Yucca Valley kept drawing them back because of the small town environment and the friendly people. In 2002 they decided to stay permanently.
Grumpy and Peggy have one son and four grandchildren, (who gave him the name 'Grumpy' because they couldn't say 'Grandpa') and one Great granddaughter.
Grumpy is employed by Joshua Springs Calvary Chapel as the Community Relations Rep and the Men's Ministry Leader.
"It is so neat to live in a place that has such a great mix of people and cultures. My wife and I wouldn't live anywhere else."

Tumbleweed Photos
Dave, whose professional background is in the arts with an emphasis on technology, is co-owner and photographer of Tumbleweed Photos. Born and raised in Pasadena CA, Dave left San Fernando Valley and moved to the lower desert in 2000. In 2004, Dave relocated preferring the climate and potential of the high desert.
Dave is also a graphic designer, a photo restorationist, and does specialty prints. Tumbleweed Photos / Dave hosts receptions for Chaparral Artists and has a permanent art gallery for local artists.
Dave's membership in local organizations include BNI, MBCAC, Chaparral Artists, and Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce. Dave volunteers with TLC and Child I.D. photos in cooperation with Jennifer Collins of Farmer's Insurance. Dave is also the official photographer for Miss Yucca Valley Scholarship Contest.

Sara Hutson
Paper Work Plus

Sara was born in Palm Springs, CA. Sara and her family remained in Yucca Valley and she proudly graduated from Yucca Valley High School in 1986. Being a true 'go-getter,' Sara worked in the Escrow field off-and-on in her last years of High School, and in 1987 opened her own "After Hours Notary Service" company.
Around 1993, Sara moved to Northern California, then in 1999 Sara returned to Yucca Valley and has remained here since.
Sara created her own business called 'Paper Work Plus' - which is a combination of her many organizational and office management skills, as well as her talents gathered from her Escrow and Notary Service days. Over the years, Sara also has volunteered for many service organizations throughout the Basin, yet always has time to assist at the Chamber.

Carol Vaughn
Copper Mountain Broadcasting

Carol Vaughn, a native Californian with five adult children, was a resident of La Quinta from 1977 until her move to Landers in November 2004.
A stay-at-home mother who assisted her husband with their concrete contracting business, she began her radio career at KCMJ-AM/FM in 1996 in Palm Springs. Morris Communications purchased KCMJ in 1997 along with 5 other stations. Carol then became their Business Manager for all seven stations until 2002.
Carol re-joined Gary DeMaroney in 2004 as the Business Manager here at Copper Mountain Broadcasting.
Carol is delighted to be a director on the Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce, and as Chair of the Scholarship Foundation looks forward to all the exciting months ahead.

Kathleen and her husband Corky moved to Yucca Valley in April of 2005, where she started being a part of the Community immediately.

JoAnn Petersen
Steve's Office Supply

JoAnn has worked as a Manager and Notary Specialist for Steve's Office Supply for 15 years. She was born and raised in Orange County.
In 1992 JoAnn and her husband Jimm relocated to Yucca Valley to help with the family business, the Royal Crest Mobile Home Park (family owned / operated for 30+ years).
JoAnn and Jimm have 3 children and 5 grandchildren.
"Jimm and I enjoy the many community activities, the spirit, and especially the rural environment that the Morongo Basin has to offer!"

Sarann Graham

Sarann moved to California in 1958.
She retired from a senior management position at Northrop Grumman Corporation with over 40 years experience in the industrial and manufacturing environment and 5 years in management for 3 municipal water districts.
Sarann also established a consultant firm that presently provides services to small manufacturers.
Sarann has held elected positions as a Town Council Member and as elected Mayor for 14 years and recently was appointed to the Hi-Desert Water District Board of Directors. Sarann is active in numerous business and service organizations.
She is married to Dr. Gregory Graham and they have 5 children & 10 grandchilden.

Jack Foyil
High Desert Federal Credit Union

Jack was born and raised in Pasadena, CA.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the California Maritime Academy and an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from CA State University, San Bernardino.
Jack and his wife, Barbara, originally moved to Yucca Valley more than 20 years ago.
After years of traveling abroad, they returned Yucca Valley to live full-time roughly 8 years ago.
They have 6 grown children and 14 grandchildren, all of which they are very proud of.
Jack is thrilled to be a part of the Chamber and offer his expertise in many areas!
