Campbell House

Step back in time, and experience old-world charm at this historic desert inn

Set on 25 secluded acres, surrounded by towering Washingtonia fan palms and lush gardens, the Campbell House property offers a peaceful retreat, where you can experience the quiet and calm of the open desert. This modern-day desert oasis began as a modest homestead property in 1925, established by Twentynine Palms homesteaders Bill & Elizabeth Campbell, and is truly unlike anything else you will find in the Mojave Desert.

Choose from twelve spacious and elegant guest suites and cottages, and enjoy a wonderfully prepared breakfast, served in the formal dining room of the main house. Compliment your stay with a rejuvenating massage, followed by a dip in the pool, or a soak in the jacuzzi. Come out and discover Joshua Tree National Park, the Mojave National Preserve, and experience our breathtaking starry night skies. Find some shade and unwind in one of our many gardens, or play a game of bocce ball with the kids and reconnect. The time is yours.

Formerly the Roughley Manor, this historic inn is now under shared ownership with the iconic 29 Palms Inn, and guests can now enjoy shared amenities between both properties, including health and wellness services, complimentary yoga classes, and guided walking tours of the Oasis of Mara with desert naturalist, Pat Flanagan.
