The High-Desert area surrounding Yucca Valley
is commonly referred to as the "Morongo Basin" and includes
Morongo Valley to the West, Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms to the East
and Pioneertown & Landers to the North. We have the Joshua Tree National
Park as our Southern border and just Norh of Twentynine Palms is the Marine
Air-Ground Combat Center (the largest Marine Corps Base in the world)
which is at our North-East border.
Each community has its own character and unique
quality setting it apart from the rest - separate yet united.
*Note: Highway 62 (SR 62) is also called ' 29 Palms Highway '
