Property Tax

Proposition 13 that passed in 1978 sets property tax in California. The property tax rate is one percent plus any bonded indebtedness

approved by the voters. The average is 1.25 percent in Yucca Valley. Taxes are based on 100% full fair market value as of the date of

purchase or completion of construction. Taxes may increase a maximum of two percent per year after being set.
