It Doesn't Cost To Be A Member - It PAYS!!
If you are not a member, you are losing out!
The Chamber actively supports
local area businesses and organization with a wide range of events/functions,
sponsorship opportunities and programs.
We offer tangible benefits to all our Members in return for their loyal
support, and we are continuously looking for new ways to do even more.
Here is what we can offer YOU:
- Business Advocacy Task Force:
Although strictly non-partisan, the Chamber studies and takes position on Town, County, State and Federal issues that may impact business. Additionally, Member businesses that need an advocate may address the Task Force to request Official Chamber support via written documentation or by personable attendance.
- Business Referrals:
The Chamber receives hundreds of emails, phone calls and walk-ins each month requesting information regarding specific goods and/or service providers. We refer only Chamber Members.
Thousands each month view and seek out information about Yucca Valley via our website. Only Chamber Members are listed in our ‘Yucca Valley On-Line Business Directory’.
- Display Brochures & Business Cards:
Only Chamber Members can increase promotion of their business/organization by displaying their literature and/or business cards in the Chamber Office. Hundreds each month visit the Chamber Office and the CA Welcome Center and explore our in-house information.
- Membership Advertising:
A business or organization may advertise in, and support, the Chamber Newsletter at a very reduced rate. Annual rates are also available at a discount. Spend a little, reach a lot!
- Membership Education / Training:
The Chamber hosts Business Seminars and Workshop throughout the year (at minimal fees) designed to help educate business leaders and their employees in a myriad of topics ranging from customer service to finance to commerce. Although ALL area businesses are encouraged to attend these seminars/workshops, Members always receive a reduced rate.
- Membership Networking:
The Annual Officer Transition Dinner & Community Award Ceremony is held each June. This event offers Members the opportunity to meet with other Members, retiring Officers, incoming Officers, Outstanding Community Citizens, and area Officials.
The Chamber of Commerce Mixers are held on the 3rd Tuesday of each Month from 5-7 pm, and are hosted by a different Chamber Member each month. For 2 hours one has the opportunity to network with local business leaders, organization officers, government officials and residents of Yucca Valley. Two cards are drawn from the Business Cards collected the night of Mixer and the chosen cards/people are given a “60-second (verbal) commercial” opportunity.
‘Coffee with the Mayor’ is a 7am opportunity for those interested to meet and speak with the Town Mayor, the Chamber President and a guest speak. For dates (usually every 2 -3 months) regarding these meetings, please check Chamber Web Site and NewsLetter.
- Membership NewsLetter:
Each month the “Yucca Valley Business Review” (the YV Chamber monthly NewsLetter) outlines monthly Chamber functions, reports on local government affairs/issues, discusses local business concerns, identifies new and renewing Members and/or any special events/functions held by such Members, and so more. The NewsLetter is featured as an insert to the ‘Hi-Desert Star’ (typically the last Saturday of the month) which reaches approximately 12,000 people. If one does not subscribe to the Hi-Desert Star, and is not a local area residence, a copy of the NewsLetter can be mailed.
- Membership Plaques:
Appropriate for display inside any place of business, the Membership plaque proclaims to all clients/customers that a business/organization is a proud Yucca Valley Chamber of Commerce Member. Businesses/ Organizations will also receive a ‘Window Sticker’ when they join and at their year renewal to show that they are a Member in good standing.
- Membership Standing:
The statement, “You are a Member in good standing” is important and holds great value to every patron who inquires about a business or organization. Many who inquire are often retirees affiliated with a business or organization and will actively pursue a Chamber of Commerce Member over all others.
- Ribbon Cuttings:
New and existing businesses/organizations of the Chamber can hold a “Ribbon Cutting Ceremony” at their place of business (or location of choice). The ceremonies are attended by Chamber staff, Ambassadors and Directors, and of course, any parties the business/organization wishes to include (many use this event as an official start to a Grand Opening or Open-House). The Ribbon Cutting announcement and photo is featured in the Chamber’s monthly NewsLetter.
- Sponsorship Opportunities:
Events:
Every event needs sponsors. At every event, the many attendees see who sponsor the event. Chamber Members are always encouraged to sponsor the Chamber events, and the Chamber does everything it can to let the Community know who has been involved and who has sponsored its events.
Website:
Chamber Members are also given the opportunity to sponsor the Chamber by purchasing a scrolling “Banner Ad” to be posted on the Chamber’s Website.
